With a foundation in primary care — including women’s health, chronic disease management, and dermatologic treatments — her clinical background gives her a comprehensive understanding of skin health from the inside out. She holds aesthetics certifications from both UCSF and AMET. A native Spanish speaker, Karen is passionate about building lasting, trusting relationships with patients from diverse backgrounds. What she loves most about aesthetics is seeing clients achieve their skincare goals through personalized results tailored to their unique needs — and empowering them with the knowledge and tools to feel confident every step of the way. Stephanie’s career has been a balance between a love for the science of cardiovascular acute care with the art of medical aesthetics and skin care. Unfortunately, many chronic health problems don’t always have a solution, but helping her patients feel confident and authentic to themselves is very much an achievable goal. Steph has been told that her “superpower” is the ability to hold a friendly conversation with anyone, which comes in handy since she is passionate about getting to know her patients one-and-one and addressing their individual skin care goals. Trained in laser physics, facial anatomy and the art of cosmetic injectables, she believes in a natural approach to injectables to help her clients age gracefully, always keeping their diverse background, individual facial structure, and unique ethnic features in mind.

When Stephanie is not in scrubs, you may find her on a plane to lands far, far away. Her love of animals has brought her to La Paz to swim with whale sharks, Kona to dive with Manta Rays, Honduras to dive with reef sharks, and Tanzania to observe a wildebeest river crossing. Her favorite animal, though, is her cockapoo named Xanax, most often located on her couch. She and her husband love living in Oakland with their son, Quentin.

Annie is an experienced Nurse Practitioner, board certified through the AANP. She graduated from UC Berkeley for undergrad and went on to UCSF to obtain her Master’s in Nursing as an Adult-Gerontology NP & Oncology CNS while triple minoring in Education, Mental Health, and Human Genomics. She also obtained a post-master’s certificate in Dermatology through the National Academy of Dermatology Nurse Practitioners and a Family Nurse Practitioner post-master’s certificate at Purdue Global University. She has apprenticed with a dermatologist that specializes in skin of color and is a strong believer in life-long learning!

She treats the entire breadth of medical dermatology, however her main passion lies with facial rejuvenation artistry as an expert injector utilizing: Botox, Xeomin, dermal fillers, lasers, microneedling and personalized skin care regimens.
